A Blogger's Journey.. 5 Things New Bloggers Should Know

There was a time, when I went all out for blogging and reviewing other company's brand...as a hobby.

From time to time, TripAdvisor would recognize the hard work of Bloggers, through their monthly updates per reviews.

Today, TripAdvisor has changed so much, and with the focus more on new algorithms, these updates are no longer a thing.

SO WHAT'S A BLOGGER TO DO?

It's Simple...

My Top 5 Blogger 'tea' for any blogger starting out is:

1. Don't Stress...contrary to this actor's plot twist...I'd have to agree with him...#Chill. Nothing worth having is going to come easy.

You won't become a shining star overnight, unless you are willing to put in that Sweat-Equity.

2. Stay Focused...Stick to your passion of why you are starting out in the first place. When algorithms change and update, you must change to. But remember, your focus doesn't.

3. Go Harder...No one is going to represent your brand harder than you. So grab a hold of your vision of your blog and why your voice matters. Once you have it. #GOHARD .

4. Grow... Just because things change, doesn't mean you don't too. You must flourish in this industry. In order to do so, you have to surround yourself by those in the industry doing it, though I find many don't want to share their True secrets of how it actually works for them. So with that being stated, you have to learn to grow via networking, even taking projects for free when you're just starting out, trying to get your name out there. Once you are confident you can deliver and your reviews are great..Start charging for your services. Go to events and truly network. After all, your service is needed by someone, somewhere...This is truly how you grow.

5. Expectations...Expect greatness when you deliver. For when you do, greatness is attracted to greatness and your customers will come.

This article was first written in 2018.

Since then, I have created not only this blog, but my 2nd blog which has started taken Adventurists by storm, so to speak.

I'm truly proud of it's accomplishments.

Because of that, I truly forgot all about TripAdvisor, until I reviewed this old post. I felt it truly needed some clarity and updating.

Looking at my numbers, it is inspirational to know we've got people who love to read for inspiration and knowledge, much like you...

So, when a blogger decides to blog, they decide to do it for 2 reasons:

(1) Passion

(2) Brand Promotion

Somewhere along those lines, is where the coins start to roll in.

If I can share a word of advise from my perspective to any upcoming blogger, it would be..Never lose sight of what you set out to do.

Your passion will carry your vision through.
